Psalm 100:4 tells us to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Thanksgiving is the entrance protocol of heaven. Before the request, before the petition, there is gratitude for what God has already done.
When Jesus stood before the tomb of Lazarus, He lifted His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. He gave thanks before the miracle, not after it. Thanksgiving is faith speaking in the past tense about a future God has already settled.
Whatever you are believing God for this season, begin to thank Him now. A grateful heart keeps no record of delay, only of faithfulness. Count what He has done, and you will find courage for what He is about to do.
