Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Holy Ghost Christian Centre ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is intended to align with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and good international practice.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any details you choose to provide when you plan a visit, join a group, register for an event, give online, or subscribe to updates. When you give, payment is processed by a secure third-party provider; we do not store full card details on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, welcome first-time visitors, process and acknowledge gifts, register you for events and groups, and — only where you have opted in — send newsletters and announcements. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies
We use only essential cookies — the ones needed for the site to function and to keep you signed in to a member account. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data. A short notice on your first visit explains this, and you can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. If we ever add optional analytics, we will ask for your consent first.
4. Sharing With Third Parties
We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, payment processors, email and hosting providers), and only to the extent needed to deliver those services. These providers are required to protect your data and use it solely for the agreed purpose.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described here, to meet legal and accounting obligations (such as records of donations), or until you ask us to remove it.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for communications at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@hccworld.org.
7. Children
Information about children is only collected with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian, for example when registering a child for a ministry programme.
8. Contact Us
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to info@hccworld.org, or by post to 156 Ikorodu Road, Onipanu Bus Stop, Lagos, Nigeria.
